YUI是Stardust Promotion所属的女歌手。日本才女歌手YUI，向来作风低调，凭有日版《新不了情》之称的《太阳之歌》火速成名。从小就梦想成为歌手，中学三年级的时候开始在笔记本上写诗。 进入高中，她决心成为歌手，并在街边演唱，当地的音乐学校听了LIFE的录音后，邀请她加入。 YUI选择离开高校，而去音乐学校学习吉他演奏和作曲。在自家的蒲团上练习吉他，开始尝试作曲，处女作为「Why me」。
